This is an interesting piece of culture, a Japanese WWII Era wicker trunk meant for travel. This trunk is in two pieces, with Japanese characters on one side of the larger piece reading Bridge, High. The trunk when closed measures 23 x 15 x 9. There are handles on both sides which show some fraying, and a good amount of the wicker covering is fraying as shown.
