Above the left ear interior of the apron has a stamped manufacturer's code and size ET68 indicating it was manufactured by Eisenhuttenwerk AG

This is an Other Ranks, (Regular Trooper not an Officer's) steel and brass Cavalry helmet from Napoleon Bonaparte's heavy cavalry, known as "CUIRASSIERS".
