Private Douglas Arman Skinner, ASN 38437412 served in the Service Company 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment in WWII. He enlisted in the Army on April 1st, 1943 and was wounded in action on D Day June 6, 1944 during the Normandy invasion. He was sent back to his home state of Texas for recovery and was honorably discharged due to his injuries on December 2nd, 1944. He was awarded two Purple Hearts and a Bronze star.
